5. . Scale of pay: Assistant Professor in Pedagogy Subjects :- Pay Band - Rs. 15,600 - 39,100/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/- [Pre-revised]

6. Qualification Criteria: Assistant Professor in Pedagogy Subjects of Bengali, Sanskrit, Mathematics, English, and History: - i) Post graduate degree in specific pedagogy subject with minimum 55% marks. The relaxation of marks at the Masters degree will be applicable to specified categories as explained in Note-I; ii) B.Ed with minimum 55% marks; iii) M.Ed with minimum 55% marks

Age Limit:

The upper age limit is 40 (Forty) years on the 1st January of the year of the advertisement relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category (non-creamy layer) candidates for the post of Assistant Professor. Differently-abled candidates (except in the post of Physical Education) are entitled to an age relaxation of l0 years. Age relaxation of 5 years is available to the candidates possessing Ph.D. Degree.

Rabindra Bharati University, founded on 8th May, 1962 under Rabindra Bharati Act of Govt. of West Bengal, 1961, to mark the birth centenary of the poet Rabindranath Tagore, is the third to come into existence. As conceived by Dr. B.C.Roy, the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, this temple of learning dedicated to the memory of the poet, has been able to justify to a great extent its existence as a center for promoting, extending and disseminating of Tagore's ideas in various branches of Visual Arts and Performing Arts and Human Studies.
