Qualification : (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II or the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate degree in the concerned speciality or Super speciality mentioned in Section –A Schedule-VI or equivalent recognized DNB qualification awarded by National Board of Examination.
Essential Experience for Assistant Professor: (i) At least 03 years teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned speciality or Super speciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first post graduate degree.

(ii) Should have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates with Ph.D. degree (awarded in accordance with UGC norms 2009) are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET. (iii) Ability to use computers – Exposure and ability to use statistical software, hands on experience in office applications, spread sheets and presentations etc. Essential Experience: 2 years teaching & research experience in a recognized teaching Institution. About Company
The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) was initially set up as Tezpur Lunatic Asylum under the British Government in April, 1876. In 1922 the hospital was rechristened as Tezpur Mental Hospital. With the progress in the field of psychiatry across the globe, steps were also taken to develop this hospital with modern facilities. Major construction activities were started in 1926. A private firm, “Zardine Menezes Co.,” was hired from Calcutta for undertaking the upgradation works. By the end of 1932 the hospital accommodation rose up to 700 beds.
