Assistant Professor (Regular)/ Senior Resident/ Junior Resident/ Demonstrator job recruitment in Mizoram Public Service Commission.

Assistant Professor (Regular)

Qualification : For General Disciplines: Essential for Medical Candidates: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Act. (ii) A Post Graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline. Essential for Non-Medical Candidates: (i) A Post Graduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject/allied discipline. (ii) A Doctorate degree of a recognized University in the respective subject/allied discipline. Note: The respective subject/allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the MCI"Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998." Experience: (i) For the candidates possessing MD/MS Degree from MCI recognized medical colleges: Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognised medical college either during the post-graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. Minimum of 01 year of Senior Residency in the concerned subject is required for the disciplines where there are post of Senior Residents as prescribed in the minimum Standard requirement of MCI i.e. General Medicine, Paediatrics, Tuberculosis & Respiratory Disease, Dermatology Venereology & Leprosy, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Oto-RhinoLaryngology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anaesthesiology, Radio diagnosis, Dentistry. (ii) For the candidates possessing DNB qualification from MCI recognized medical colleges/central institutes where there are no MD/MS course running: Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the DNB course or after possessing DNB qualification. The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional teaching/research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college after obtaining DNB qualification.

Senior Resident (Regular)

Qualification : MBBS, Diploma(2 years) in the concerned subject with one year running experience in the concerned subject in the recognized Teaching institution as Resident. Or M.S/M.D in the concerned subject. Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in an institution which now run MCI recognized postgraduate degree courses in a given subject, their DNB qualifications shall be considered at par with MCI recognized qualification in that subject only.
