Qualification : (i) Acharya in any discipline/Master’s
Degree in Sanskrit with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed); (ii) Shiksha Sastri (B.Ed.) with Sanskrit
Teaching Methodology and Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) with at least 55% of marks (or
an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading systems is followed); (iii)
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared
the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject; (iv)
Notwithstanding anything contained in the sub-clauses (i), (ii) and (iii) and
as per UGC Regulations, 2010, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D
Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards
and Procedure for award of Ph.D degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from
the requirement of the minimum eligibility condidations of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equal positions in
Universities. “Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered
for the M.Phil/Ph.D. Programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the
provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the
Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted
from the requirement of NET/ SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professor or Equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following
conditions: (a) Ph.D degree of the candidates awarded in regular mode only; (b)
Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; (c) Open
Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted; (d) Candidate has
published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one
must be in a referred journal; (e) Candidate has made at least two
presentations in conferences/Seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work. (a) to (e)
as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-ViceChancellor/Dean
(Academic Affairs)/ Dean (University instructions). (v) NET/SLET/SET shall also
not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which
NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
Desirable : (1)In
addition to the qualifications mentioned above, candidates possessing Acharya
in Darshana or M.A in Philosophy/Sociology/Psychology/ M.Sc(Psychology)/P.G.Diploma
in Yoga will be given preference. (2) The candidates who are applying should be
abled to teach the subjects in Sanskrit. Note: The candidate must ensure that
the Thesis submitted for the award of Ph.D degree in Education is in the
Sanskrit language only

Qualification : (i) Good academic record with at least 55%
marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) at the Master’s Degree in Yoga from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides
fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidate must have cleared
the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject. (iii)
Notwithstanding anything contained in the sub-clauses (i), and (ii) of Clause
4.4.1 of the UGC Regulations, 2010, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a
Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum
standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be
exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condidations of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equal
positions in Universities. “Provided further, the award of degree to candidates

Pay : Pay Level - 10 (Pre-Revised - PB-3: Rs.15600-
39100+AGP Rs.6,000-00)
Application Fee : Demand Draft of Rs.800/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs.200/- for SC/ST candidates drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of the Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati from 11.07.2018 onwards. The PwD candidates are not required to pay any fee.
