Qualification :  (i) Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject relaxable to M.Sc. with consistently good academic record i.e. 55% marks at Master's level. (ii) A relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks at Master's level shall be provided to 5C/5T categories. (iii) A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% of marks to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their master's degree prior to September, 1991. (iv) For the candidates having Master's degree. NET shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated referred journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET con be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations, 2009, and the candidate has at-least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption. Further, this will be implemented with perspective date i.e. w.e.f. 01^st January, 2012.

For the candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11.07.2009, NET essentiality for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted, shall be exempted subject to the condition that:

a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only; b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; c) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted; d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in referred Journal: e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in cor.ference/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor.

(v) ‘B’ in the 7-point scale with letter grades, 0, A, B, C, D, E 6 F shall be regarded as equivalent to 55%, wherever the grading system Is followed.

Pay Scale :  Rs 15600 + GP 6000 AGP + 75% of AGP
