Qualification :   A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.). b. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent.

Experience :  3 years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in Ophthalmology after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS in Ophthalmology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Pay Scale :  Rs. 15600-39100 (Pay Brand-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 8,000/- with minimum pay of Rs. 30,000/-. (unrevised)

Selection Procedure :  The applications of the candidates for the post of Deputy Medical Superintendent which will be received within the prescribed date and time and who submit the requisite fee will be scrutinized by the Scrutiny Committee of the Institute and only the eligible candidates will be called for personal interview before the Standing Selection Committee of the Institute. In case, the number of applicants are large, the competent authority of the Institute may device a criteria for short-listing the candidates which may include holding of written examination.
