Qualification
For Anaesthesia :
a. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II
of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons
possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also
fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the
Act.). b. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Anaesthesia) of an Indian
University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI
recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. c. The candidate
must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI
Experience : 3 years
teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of
specialty concerned after obtaining the qualifying postgraduate degree of MD.
For Cardiac
Anaesthesia : a. A medical qualification included in the first or second
schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of
1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third
schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the
Section 13 of the Act.). b. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD (Anaesthesia)
and or DM (Cardiac-Anaesthesia) of an Indian University/Institute recognized by
the Medical Council of India or MCI recognized qualification equivalent thereto
for teaching post. c. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical
Council/MCI.
Experience : 1 year
teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in
case of 2 years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for
the candidate possessing the 3 years recognised DM or qualification recognised
equivalent thereto. For those with MD in Anaesthesia, three years teaching and
research experience out of which one year should exclusively be in
Cardiac-Anaesthesia.
For CTVS : a.
A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of
the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons
possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also
fulfill the conditions specified in sub section (3) of the Section 13 of the
Act.). b. A postgraduate qualification i.e. M.Ch Cardiothoracic Surgery of an
Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or MCI
recognized qualification equivalent thereto for teaching post. c. The candidate
must be registered with the State Medical Council/MCI.
Experience : 1 year
teaching and research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch
in case of 2 years M.Ch. However, no additional experience is necessary for the
candidates possessing the 3 years recognised degree of M.Ch. or qualification
recognised equivalent thereto.
Molecular Biology
For Medical : a. A medical qualification included
in the first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian
Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part
II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub
section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act.). b. A postgraduate qualification
i.e. MD (Medicine/Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Microbiology/Pathology/Human

additional experience required as it is after MD, Ph.D.
For Non-Medical : a.
Postgraduate qualification i.e. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Human
Genetics/Immunology & Immunogenetics, from a recognised
University/Institution as regular course recognized by UGC or equivalent. b.
Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline/subject of an Indian
University/Institute or its equivalent Ph.D. Degree from a foreign University/Institute

activity in Cellular and Molecular aspects of Human Diseases after obtaining
Ph.D.
Parasitology
For Medical : a. A

For Non-Medical : a.

Gastroenterology

Experience For Gastroenterology : 1 year teaching and
research experience after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM in case of 2
years DM course. However, no additional experience is necessary for the
candidate possessing the 3 years recognised degree of DM or qualification
recognised equivalent thereto.
Experience For Gastroenterology (Neuro) : 1 year teaching
and research experience in a recognized Institution in the field of
Gastroenterology after obtaining the qualifying degree of DM. Note: Candidates
with DM degree of 3 years, no experience is required.
Desirable : Teaching and/or research experience in the field
of NeuroGastroenterology and Motility
Gastroenterology
(Paediatric) : a. A medical qualification included in the first or second
schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of
1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third

General Surgery :

Hepatology : a. A

Desirable : 6 months experience in Hepatology for candidates
with DM Gastroenterology qualification.
Hospital
Administration : a. A medical qualification included in the first or second
schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of
1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the third

Section 13 of the Act.). b. A Postgraduate qualification i.e. MD in Hospital
Administration of Indian University/Institute or MHA of an Indian
University/Institute recognized by Medical Council of India or MCI recognized
qualification equivalent thereto for a teaching post. c. The candidate must be
registered with the State Medical Council/MCI. d. MHA of two years should have
one year additional experience in Hospital Administration.
Experience : 3 year teaching and research experience, in a
recognized Institution in the subject of Hospital Administration after
acquiring the essential qualifications.
Internal Medicine : a. A medical qualification included in the
first or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical
Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of
the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub section
(3) of the Section 13 of the Act.). b. A postgraduate qualification i.e. MD

Surgery : a. A medical qualification

Surgery) or M.Ch (Urology) of an Indian University /Institute recognized by the

teaching post. c. The candidate must be registered with the State Medical
Council/MCI.
Experience : 3 years
teaching and research experience in the Transplant Surgery after obtaining the
qualifying degree of MS (General Surgery). 1 year teaching and research experience
after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch in case of 2 years M.Ch course.
However, no additional experience is necessary for the candidates possessing
the 3 years recognized degree of M.Ch.
Psychiatry Clinical
Psychology (NM) : a. Master’s degree (regular course recognised by UGC or
equivalent) in Psychology and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (2 years full time
course done from a Psychiatry Department/Institute). b. Ph.D degree in the
concerned discipline/subject of an Indian University/Institute or its
equivalent Ph.D. degree from a foreign University recognized by the University
Grants Commission.
Experience : 03 years
teaching and / or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after
obtaining the Ph.D. Degree.
CSIC (Biomedical
Engg. & Innovation) : a. Ph.D after obtaining M.Tech/M.E. in Biomedical
Engineering.
Experience : 03 years
experience in the field of Biomedical Engineering post – Ph.D.
Desirable : Experience in any Central Instrumentation
facility of a large Institute.
Pay Scale : PB-3
i.e. Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8,000/- with minimum pay of Rs. 30,000/-
(pre-revised) plus NPA (for medical personnel) further revised in Pay Matrix
(Level-12) with a minimum pay of Rs. 1,01,500/-
