Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Support:
-
Assist the lead teacher in preparing and delivering lesson plans in alignment with the school curriculum.

Support classroom instruction by working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning.
-
Set up educational materials, organize classroom supplies, and ensure the learning environment is clean and welcoming.
2. Student Supervision:
-
Monitor students during classroom activities, lunch breaks, recess, and field trips to ensure safety and discipline.
-
Guide students in developing good study habits, positive behavior, and social skills.

Provide individual attention to students who need extra help or supervision.
3. Administrative and Organizational Tasks:
-
Help with administrative duties such as taking attendance, grading simple assignments, organizing student files, and preparing teaching aids.

Maintain classroom records, update bulletin boards, and keep track of inventory and supplies.
-
Support teachers with technology setup and use of educational software or platforms.
4. Classroom Management:
-
Enforce classroom rules and promote respectful behavior through positive reinforcement and consistent discipline techniques.

Help manage classroom transitions, keep students focused, and reduce disruptions during lessons or activities.

De-escalate minor conflicts and report serious behavioral issues to the lead teacher or school authorities.
5. Communication and Collaboration:
-
Collaborate with lead teachers, school staff, and parents to understand each student’s needs and progress.

Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences (when required), and participate in school events or training sessions.

Maintain open and respectful communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
6. Special Education and Inclusion (if applicable):
-
Provide support to students with special needs under the guidance of a certified special education teacher.

Assist with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting materials or instruction to accommodate learning differences.

Support inclusion efforts by promoting acceptance and understanding among all students.
