Job Description
Role Summary
The VP of Sales Force Effectiveness is responsible for maximizing the productivity, efficiency, and performance of the sales organization. This role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations to design and execute strategies that improve sales processes, enablement, incentives, analytics, and execution across the full sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
• Design and implement sales effectiveness strategies aligned with company growth objectives
• Partner with Sales Leadership to optimize sales models, coverage, and resource allocation
• Drive consistent sales execution through standardized processes and best practices
Sales Operations & Analytics
• Oversee sales performance analytics, dashboards, and KPI tracking
• Provide actionable insights on pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, win rates, and productivity
• Lead territory design, quota setting, and capacity planning
Sales Enablement & Training
• Develop and oversee sales enablement programs, tools, and training initiatives
• Ensure sales teams are equipped with effective messaging, playbooks, and methodologies
• Partner with Marketing on content strategy and go-to-market readiness
Incentives & Compensation
• Design and manage sales compensation and incentive plans aligned with performance goals
• Ensure plans drive desired behaviors while remaining simple, competitive, and compliant
• Partner with Finance and HR on plan governance and administration
Process, Tools & Technology
• Own the sales tech stack (CRM, sales enablement tools, analytics platforms)
• Drive adoption, data quality, and continuous improvement of sales systems
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce friction and increase seller productivity
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on sales effectiveness initiatives
• Collaborate with Finance on forecasting and revenue planning
Qualifications
Required
• Master’s degree in Business Management or related field
• 20+ years of experience in sales operations, sales effectiveness, or commercial strategy
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role supporting large, complex sales organizations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic action
• Proven experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools
Preferred
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience in B2B, SaaS, or enterprise sales environments
• Background in change management and large-scale transformation initiatives
