- Implementing Cloud Resources in Azure including
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and administration of cloud services
- Respond to escalated customer service issues using email, phone, and web conference technology
- Work within a regional support team covering 24x7x365 cloud operations
- Able to write effective handoff from shift-to-shift for cloud support issues
- Provide expertise in one or many of the following cloud and virtualization products: AWS, Azure, VMware
- Responsible for general health and maintenance of cloud service offerings
- Provide database design, development and maintenance services
- Know-How on Database Migrations to public cloud IaaS and PaaS, including Assessments, Planning and Migration Hands-On
- Work on a variety of challenging and complex problems in a fast-paced production environment, both managing the production databases and directly supporting the development teams
- Responsible for database capacity planning and management, performance tuning and system optimization
- Design for high availability, and establish disaster recovery capabilities
- Monitor, measure, report, analyze and systematically improve database system performance and uptime
- Experience performance tuning MSSQL and MySQL databases for a variety of environments and user requirements
- Significant experience with MySQL and MSSQL replication, configuration and management
- Executing backup and recovery of the database as and when required
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
- Conducting Cloud Migrations
- Facilitate cloud migration preparations
- Conduct Assessments and Report Creation
- Coordinating cloud migration (application owners, vendor support, customer infrastructure support, etc)
- Knowledge on Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery, Cloud Endure, Database Migration
- Conduct cutovers
- Facilitate testing
- Facilitate handover
- Facilitate rollbacks/rescheduling if required
- Migration Status reporting
- Document deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering or related degree preferred
- Expereince :6 + yrs, 3 yrs into Cloud
- Working knowledge in the following areas of Azure and Azure
- Strong knowledge of UNIX (Linux, Solaris) and Windows systems
- Identity (Authentication & Authorization)
- Compute (VMs, ScaleSets, Cloud Services - Worker/Web)
- Storage (Blob, Files, Disk)
- Networking (Load Balancer, Application Gateway, DNS, VPN)
- Security (Firewalls, Security Center, WAF, IDS, IPS, NSG)
- SQL Server IaaS, SQL MI & DBaaS
- SQL Migration, Tools and Management
- DB Administrator
- Authoring Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Cloud Formation Templates
- Strong knowledge and exposure working across various services and components in Azure
- Knowledge on Cloud Architectures - IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, Containers.
- Database Administration and Migration
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Communicates clearly and tactfully
- Ensures information is accurate and complete
- Motivated and quick learner
- Willingness mentor, teach, share knowledge with team members and other operational teams
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-103)
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
- EX200: Red Hat Certified System Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-300 & AZ-301) is a plus
