Associate Professor Community Medicine/2 Posts
Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act);and (ii) A post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine )/ MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline. (a) Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college with minimum of two research publications in indexed or national journals provided that these research publications are published or accepted for publication in the Journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First or Corresponding Author, and further provided that the requirement of two research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publications must be published during the tenure of the Assistant Professor. Note 1: The experience should be recognized by the Medical Council of India or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted. Note 2: Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts.
Assistant Professor Community Medicine
Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions
stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act);and (ii) A post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or (MS) Master of Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline EXPERIENCE: i. For the candidates possessing MD/MS degree from MCI recognized medical college: a) Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post graduation course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. b) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/Permitted medical college. c) Provided that in disciplines where the post of Senior Resident is not prescribed in the applicable Minimum Standard Requirements for the Medical College for 100 Admissions Annually Regulations one year experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Resident/registrar after obtaining Post Graduate Degree in the concerned discipline shall be required . ii. Equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad specialties) with MD/MS: a) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in an institution which now run MCI recognized postgraduate degree courses in a given subject, their DNB qualifications shall be considered at par with MCI recognized qualifications that subject only.
Mode of payment: A Demand Draft of Rs. 225/- in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No. I’, drawn after 19.08.2020 on any scheduled bank payable at ‘Kolkata’ has to be submitted along with the Application Form at the time of walk in Interview.
