Asst. Sports Officer / Junior Programmer job vacancies in Goa University purely on
temporary basis
1. Assistant Sports Officer /01 (UR)
Essential: i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University / Institution. iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: i) Three years experience in the concerned field at College/State Level. ii) Participation in games and sports. iii) Knowledge of Marathi.
2. Junior Programmer/ 02 (UR) 01 (OBC)
Essential :i) Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Application from a recognized University. OR Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Computer Application from a recognized University. OR Bachelor of Engineering in Computer / Information Technology from a recognized University. (ii) Experience of software development and data processing in a reputed organization. iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: i) Master degree in Computer Science / Computer Application / Information Technology. ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category candidates have to pay 50% (Fifty percent) of the application fee.

Though Goa University was
established in 1985, its genesis dates back to post-Liberation era when
the Post Graduate Centre of Bombay University was established in Goa in
1966. Though the Post Graduate Centre of Bombay University met the
immediate requirements of Goan students at a time when educational
resources and avenues in Goa were limited, an acute need was felt for
Goa’s own university that would promote interest in the life,
literature, languages and cultures of the people of Goa. Envisaged as an
instrument of socio-economic development and empowerment, Goa
University was thus established in 1985 by incorporating the then
existing Centre for Post Graduate Instruction and Research of the
University of Bombay.
