Job Description:
• Own the Retail fundraising / Crowdfunding targets and work to fulfill the same.
• Build the strategic roadmap for Retail / Crowdfunding portfolios and drive execution with the other teams of the Office of Institutional Advancement/Alumni & Corporate Relations, and other stakeholders at IIT Madras.
• Conceptualize and design Retail campaigns with innovative, effective, and relevant matters.
• Implement effective Pre-Campaigns, Campaign Launches, and Post-Campaign actions.
• Adopt a data-driven and digital approach to marketing with strong working knowledge of social media.
• Interact with the donors to ensure donor ‘acquisition’, retention, and lifetime value of donors, by using meaningful strategies.
• Set up a growth framework to develop deeply thought-through growth strategies, execute, monitor, and scale.
• Set out clear processes to manage support functions and business operations around donor and fundraiser requirements.
• Drive initiatives with other teams to improve end-to-end donor and fundraiser experience /delight.

Job Description:
- The selected candidate will be working with the Alumni Corporate Heads, and other key stakeholders at IIT Madras and will be responsible for raising funds for various causes associated with the Institute.
• Own the Retail fundraising / Crowdfunding targets and work to fulfill the same.

Duration:
- Initially for one year, later extendable based on performance.
- • Postgraduate in Management Studies / Business Administration / MBA, in Sales or Marketing.
- • 7-10 Years of experience in Crowdfunding / Retail /Marketing environment.
- Knowledge of running a successful Retail / Crowdfunder campaign.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, key trends, and a basis of marketing knowledge, to create the right ‘pitch’ for the support.
- Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer-based software.
- Knowledge of creating content for digital purposes including graphics & audio/visual assets for marketing/retail campaigns.
- Knowledge of writing for digital platforms (optimizing SEO), in particular, websites and e-communications.
- Prior experience in scaling retail/consumer online businesses is a must.
- Hands-on experience in leading growth teams.
- Strong analytical orientation and customer understanding.
- Strong product & technical orientation.
- Intent and ability to work in a target-driven, result-oriented environment.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, such as Marketing, Accounts, Deployment, etc.
- Work experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, Pardot, etc. would be an added advantage.
- Annual CTC (Fixed + Variable Component) up to Rs. 35 Lakh [Competitive salary commensurate with experience]

It all began in 1956, when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister of India, was on an official visit to West Germany and was offered assistance by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, to set up a higher technological institute in India. This resulted in the signing of the first Indo-German Agreement in Bonn in 1959, for the establishment of an Indian Institute of Technology at Madras.
The first Indo-German Agreement provided for the services of German professors and five foremen, training facilities for 20 Indian faculty members, and the supply of scientific and technical equipment for the establishment of the Central Workshop and 20 laboratories at IIT Madras.
In 1959, the Institute was formally inaugurated by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific and Cultural Affairs. Dr. A. Lakshmanaswamy assumed office as the first Chairman of the Board of Governors and Dr. B. Sengupto as the first Director of the Institute. In 1961, the Institute has declared an 'Institute of National Importance by the Parliament of India.
