An ATM Cash Loader Assistant plays a crucial role in the secure handling, transportation, and replenishment of cash in Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). Working as part of a cash logistics or security team, the assistant supports the loading and unloading of currency into ATMs at multiple locations while ensuring strict compliance with security procedures and company policies.
This role demands a high level of responsibility, honesty, attention to detail, and physical fitness. The ATM Cash Loader Assistant works closely with drivers, armed security personnel, and cash officers to ensure safe and accurate operations. It is a field-based role that often involves working in high-security environments.
Key Responsibilities

Cash Loading and Replenishment:
Assist in loading and unloading cash cassettes into ATMs according to standard operating procedures. Replenish ATMs with the correct denominations and record all transactions accurately. -
Security and Safety Compliance:
Follow strict security protocols while transporting and loading cash. Remain alert to potential security threats or suspicious activities and report them immediately. -
ATM Maintenance Support:
Check ATM functionality (basic) and assist in resolving minor issues, such as paper jams or low receipt paper. Notify the supervisor or technical support for any major technical faults. -
Cash Verification and Documentation:
Verify cash amounts against records provided by the cash center. Maintain logs, reports, and necessary paperwork for every ATM replenishment or collection activity. -
Coordination with Security Team:
Work in tandem with armed security officers or cash van personnel to ensure the safe delivery and retrieval of cash. Maintain constant communication throughout the operation. -
Route and Schedule Adherence:
Follow assigned routes and time schedules for ATM visits. Ensure punctuality and efficiency to cover all designated ATMs in the allotted timeframe. -
Emergency Handling:
Follow contingency procedures in case of emergencies such as robbery attempts, ATM malfunctions, or transport delays. Secure all valuables and inform the command center or manager immediately. -
Compliance with Policies:
Adhere to company and banking regulations, including confidentiality, anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines, and handling of sensitive materials.
