Job Overview
An AutoCAD Engineer is responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD and other CAD software. The role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate and detailed drawings for construction, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. CAD Drawing & Design
- Develop 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Create detailed plans, layouts, schematics, and blueprints based on project specifications.
- Ensure design accuracy, precision, and compliance with industry standards.
2. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with architects, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineers to interpret designs and requirements.
- Assist in design modifications, corrections, and updates based on feedback.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Review and validate technical drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Adhere to safety standards, building codes, and project guidelines.
- Identify and resolve design inconsistencies and technical issues.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of drawings, project documentation, and revisions.
- Generate technical reports, material specifications, and cost estimates when required.
- Ensure all drawings are properly archived and version-controlled.
