AutoCAD Designer
Job Description
The candidate will be required to work on AutoCAD drawings for fire fighting system:
1. Designing of hydrant, sprinkler & fire alarm systems.
2. Computation of quantities for making BOQ.
3. Visiting the site to check whether work is done as per drawing.
4. Taking measurement of the work done at site as per drawing and finalizing it.
5. Preparing as built drawing after work is done.
Key Responsibilities:
1. CAD Drafting and Design:
-
Prepare detailed 2D drawings and, when required, 3D models using AutoCAD software.

Interpret design sketches, layouts, blueprints, and verbal instructions.

Create floor plans, sections, elevations, site layouts, piping layouts, or machine parts depending on the industry.

Revise and update drawings based on feedback or design changes.
2. Technical Support for Projects:
-
Assist engineers or architects in developing detailed construction or fabrication drawings.
-
Ensure all drawings are aligned with industry standards and client specifications.

Support the design team in preparing presentations or visual representations.
-
Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
3. Quality and Accuracy:
-
Review and cross-check drawings for technical accuracy and completeness.
-
Identify and resolve discrepancies between design intent and drafting output.
-
Follow project timelines and deliver high-quality drawings on schedule.

Maintain consistency in formatting, layering, and dimensioning.
4. File Management and Documentation:
-
Maintain organized records of drawing files, design versions, and revisions.
-
Convert hand sketches, legacy drawings, or scanned files into digital CAD format.
-
Ensure proper file naming, drawing numbers, and version control for easy traceability.

Generate bills of materials (BOMs) or quantity take-offs when required.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, architects, and site personnel.

Attend design or review meetings to discuss project scope or resolve design issues.
-
Incorporate feedback from clients, supervisors, or site engineers.
