Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting and Design:

Use AutoCAD software to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for engineering or architectural projects.

Modify existing drawings as needed to incorporate changes and revisions.
2. Collaboration with Project Teams:

Work closely with engineers, architects, drafters, and designers to understand project requirements and objectives.

Participate in project meetings to clarify design requirements and provide input on feasibility and technical details.

Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistency and compliance with project standards.
3. File and Document Management:

Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, and records for easy access and future reference.

Follow naming conventions and document control procedures to ensure uniformity.

Prepare drawings for submission to clients, contractors, or regulatory bodies.
4. Quality Control and Accuracy:

Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications.

Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards, industry codes, and legal requirements.

Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to minimize errors and ensure consistency.
5. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Provide technical assistance related to AutoCAD and design documentation.

Troubleshoot CAD software issues and support team members in using CAD tools effectively.

Stay up to date with AutoCAD updates and new tools that improve workflow.
6. Conformance to Standards:

Adhere to company, client, and industry standards and best practices in drafting and design.

Apply appropriate scaling, annotations, symbols, and technical detailing.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines when designing layouts or plans.
7. Continuous Learning and Skill Development:

Participate in training sessions to upgrade software knowledge and drafting skills.

Learn to use additional design tools like Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or BIM software if required.
