Automation Tester
Remote
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in QA automation with a focus on API testing (REST and SOAP).
- Strong proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium.
- Experience with programming languages like Java,
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of testing principles and practices, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Automation Development & Execution
-
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and desktop applications.

Design and implement test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.).

Work closely with developers to ensure testability and automation feasibility.
2. Test Planning & Documentation
-
Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts for automation.

Maintain detailed test documentation and track defects in issue tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).

Report and track test execution results and defects.
3. CI/CD & Test Integration
-
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

Work with DevOps teams to enable continuous testing in the software development lifecycle.

Ensure test scripts are scalable, reusable, and efficient.
4. Performance & Security Testing (if required)

Conduct performance and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

Work with security teams to identify vulnerabilities through automation testing.
5. Collaboration & Best Practices

Work with developers, product managers, and QA teams to improve software quality.

Follow industry best practices for test automation.

Stay updated with the latest automation trends, tools, and technologies.
