Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented, innovative, and detail-oriented Automobile Engineer to join our engineering team. As an Automobile Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of vehicles and their components. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our automobiles meet safety, quality, and performance standards while incorporating the latest technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical and automotive engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation in the automotive industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, quality assurance, and supply chain to deliver outstanding vehicle solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Design and Development:

Participate in the design and development of new vehicle models and automotive components including engines, transmissions, chassis, electrical systems, and safety features.

Use CAD software and simulation tools to create detailed designs and conduct virtual testing.

Collaborate with design teams to ensure aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality are optimized.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and customer requirements.
2. Prototyping and Testing:

Oversee prototype development and assembly to validate design concepts.

Conduct rigorous testing including durability, performance, safety, and emissions testing.

Analyze test data and identify areas for improvement or redesign.

Work with quality assurance teams to ensure production readiness and product reliability.
3. Production Support:

Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet cost targets.

Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce defects.

Develop process improvements and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.
4. Research and Innovation:

Stay current with emerging automotive technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous driving, connectivity, and alternative fuels.

Evaluate and incorporate new materials, components, and engineering methods to enhance vehicle performance and sustainability.

Collaborate with R&D to develop cutting-edge solutions and future vehicle platforms.
5. Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare detailed engineering documentation including specifications, reports, and test plans.

Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the design and production processes.

Assist in patent filing and intellectual property protection efforts as needed.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and quality teams to select components and suppliers.

Coordinate with marketing and after-sales teams to incorporate customer feedback and warranty data into product improvements.

Communicate technical information effectively to non-engineering stakeholders.
