Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all vehicles and equipment.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics and generate reports for management review.
- Schedule and oversee regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of fleet technicians and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and foster a positive work environment.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage the fleet maintenance budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through preventive maintenance and efficient resource allocation.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all vehicles comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for staff.
- Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee service agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Problem Solving:
- Diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective solutions to ensure quick turnaround times.
- Respond to emergency repair needs and coordinate with field personnel as necessary.
