Job Description
Designation: Automobile
Responsibilities include:
1. Work on defining need assessment, application, and performance criteria from a steering point of view
2. Work on extensive research and benchmarking
3. Work on generating kinematic geometry of steering using simulation software
4. Work on concept design and calculation of vehicle subsystems/components that include steering geometry for 4X4, 6X6, and 8x8 all-terrain vehicles
5. Work on hands sketch concept, FBD, and concept design for parts and assemblies of each product line
6. Work on defining the baseline process for POC
7. Work on the development of proof of concept for steering components
8. Work on raising and keeping the trace of departmental development inventory.
9. Work on detailed engineering design and development of Steering housing assembly, Tie rods, Steering column, EPS, Steering wheel, and Rear wheel steering actuator
10. Work on efficient packaging of components keeping minimum sprung and unsprung mass
11. Work on launching key technical milestones on time & in-budget
12. Work on lead development of finalizing requirements
13. Work on the implementation of design, test, & product launch
14. Work on testing, analysis & validation of steering system
15. Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility

Other requirements
1. Hands-on -fit and function- evaluation of subsystem components
2. Proficient in engineering calculation, creation of models, component drawings, assembly drawings, BOM, and data packs, including FMEAs and DVPS
