Key Responsibilities
-
Cloud Infrastructure Management
Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. Use services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and EKS. -
CI/CD Pipeline Development
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD to automate testing, deployment, and delivery of applications. -
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK. Maintain version-controlled configuration files and templates for reproducibility and scalability. -
Automation and Scripting
Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. Reduce manual intervention by creating reusable modules and playbooks. -
Monitoring and Logging
Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog. Proactively identify and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and security. -
Security and Compliance
Implement and enforce best practices for cloud security. Use IAM policies, encryption, and secure networking to protect data and applications. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. -
Containerization and Orchestration
Package applications into containers using Docker. Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS. Optimize container performance, scaling, and lifecycle management. -
Disaster Recovery and Backup
Design and maintain disaster recovery strategies and backup plans for data and applications. Regularly test recovery procedures and update as needed to ensure business continuity. -
Collaboration with Development Teams
Work closely with developers to understand application requirements, streamline development workflows, and ensure efficient and consistent deployments across environments. -
Performance Optimization
Monitor system metrics, conduct performance tuning, and recommend improvements to application architecture or infrastructure design for better speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency. -
Documentation and Reporting
Create detailed documentation for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Maintain records of changes, configurations, and incidents.
