Introduction
IBM, an industry leader in Hybrid Cloud Software and Services is looking for a Senior AI/ML Specialist Solution Architect - AWS to join our World-Wide Strategic Alliances team. This Senior AI/ML Specialist Solution Architect will work with Ecosystem Labs Distinguish Engineers and Specialists within IBM Technology (including IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software & Red Hat) to perform joint development validation and pilots through partnerships between IBM and AWS. As a member of the team, it will be your responsibility to partner jointly with other specialists, enabling the IBM AWS alliance team to drive adoption of IBM Software through the delivery of solutions, composable, patterns, and content on Amazon Web Services. This Solution Architect will work within our Ecosystem Labs to define, design, and build architectures and integrations to help enable IBM Data and AI technology on AWS. Focus areas include working with our IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software organization to help enable IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) on AWS, ensuring Red Hat OpenShift is widely adopted in the market for AWS clients, and leveraging our hybrid cloud platform and IBM consulting offerings. Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- We need the candidate to have
- Deep understanding and experience in the field of AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and related technologies
- High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
The ideal candidate will have a breadth of knowledge across cloud computing topics and AWS, as well as hands-on expertise in topics from three or more of the technical areas below:- Masters, or Ph.D. in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
- Data science background and experience manipulating/transforming data, model selection, model training, cross-validation and deployment at scale.
- Experience with Machine and Deep Learning toolkits such as MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe and Torch.
- Experience with multiple AWS services related to Data and AI highly desirable. Including Amazon Sagemaker, Amazon EMR, Amazon S3, Amazon Lex, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Translate, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Polly, Amazon Forecast, Amazon Athena, Amazon RedShift, IoT, Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS Glue, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon ElasticSearch, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon MSK, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Keyspaces, Amazon Timestream.
- Experience with IBM Data and AI products such as Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) and cartridges highly desirable. Including Watson Studio, Watson Machine Learning, SPSS Modeler, Decision Optimizer, Knowledge Catalog, Watson Assistant, Watson Speech Services, Information Analyzer, DataStage, Data Db2, Netezza, MQ, Hadoop Execution Engine, Informix, Cognos Analytics, Open Data for Industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience with relational and non-relational data sources including Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Postgres SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB, Amazon RedShift, and Amazon Aurora
- One or more of the following AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, AWS Certified Database Specialty
- One or more IBM Certifications from the following categories: IBM Certified Solution Architect, IBM Certified Associate Architect, IBM Certified Administrator, IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, IBM Certified Database Associate, IBM Certified Database Administrator, IBM Certified Specialist, IBM Certified Data Engineer, IBM Certified Developer, IBM Associate Certified DBA
