Back Office Executive
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Entry and Record Maintenance
-
Enter customer information, transaction details, and other banking data into the system accurately.

Maintain and update customer records, loan files, KYC documents, and compliance reports.

Archive and retrieve information from databases and ensure all records are secure and backed up.
2. Transaction Processing
-
Process various banking transactions such as fund transfers, check clearances, inward and outward remittances, and account openings.

Support reconciliation of accounts and verify financial data before posting.

Monitor and validate internal banking operations to detect and correct discrepancies.
3. Documentation and Verification
-
Handle and verify documentation for account opening, loan processing, and investment services.
-
Ensure all forms and applications are correctly filled out, signed, and supported with valid documents.

Perform routine audits of documents to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
4. Coordination and Communication
-
Coordinate with different departments such as Customer Service, Loans, Compliance, and IT to support smooth operations.

Escalate unresolved issues to relevant departments and track resolution status.

Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and operational summaries for management.
5. Compliance and Risk Management
-
Ensure compliance with RBI (Reserve Bank of India) guidelines, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and internal standard operating procedures.

Report any suspicious transactions to the compliance team.

Maintain confidentiality of customer data and adhere to data protection guidelines.
6. Technical System Handling
-
Operate banking software such as Finacle, Flexcube, or other core banking systems (CBS) to execute daily tasks.

Troubleshoot basic software issues and coordinate with IT for resolving complex problems.
-
Generate transaction and activity logs for audits and reporting.
7. Inventory and Supplies Management
-
Monitor and manage inventory of bank forms, checkbooks, stationery, and other operational supplies.

Maintain records of usage and initiate requisitions when supplies are low.
