Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Back Office Executive to join our bank's operations team. As a Back Office Executive, you will play a critical role in supporting the front-office staff and ensuring smooth administrative, data processing, and transaction-related tasks behind the scenes. Your work will contribute to maintaining operational efficiency, compliance, and accurate customer recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate should be well-versed in MS Office, data entry, documentation, and standard banking procedures. This role does not require direct customer interaction but demands strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry and Record Management

  • Enter and update customer information, account details, and transactional data in banking systems.

  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records of customer KYC documents, loan files, and transaction logs.

  • Verify the accuracy of incoming documents and cross-check details with internal records.

  • Ensure timely filing and retrieval of documentation as per RBI guidelines.

2. Account Management Support

  • Assist in processing account opening, closure, and modification requests.

  • Maintain customer account records including changes in address, contact information, nominee details, etc.

  • Ensure KYC compliance and regular updating of documents as per bank policies.

3. Loan Processing and Support

  • Support the loan operations team in document verification, data entry, and file management.

  • Coordinate with field officers for collection of loan applications and missing documentation.

  • Track disbursement, EMI schedules, and maintain loan ledger reports.

4. Transaction and Reconciliation

  • Help in the processing of NEFT/RTGS/IMPS transactions, cheque clearances, and inward remittances.

  • Support daily bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and error correction.

  • Work closely with auditors and finance officers to reconcile discrepancies.

5. Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare periodic reports related to account activities, audit logs, transaction summaries, and pending documentation.

  • Maintain internal dashboards for tracking branch activities and back-office metrics.

  • Assist the operations head in generating MIS reports and regulatory submissions.

6. Compliance and Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, RBI regulations, and customer data confidentiality.

  • Flag suspicious transactions or documentation irregularities to the compliance officer.

  • Help in implementing system upgrades and testing changes in operational software.
