Band Master (Police Inspector),Group-A
1) An associate of the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music or the
Trinity College of Music London. And
2) Possess at least five years experience in a service Band and be throughly
acquainted with military band instruments and be able to arrange music for
military bands. And
3) Be an able conductor and disciplinarian with knowledge of military parade
ground procedure. And
4) Have a minimum height of 165 c. m. and minimum chest of 84 c. m. deflated.
Provided that the technical qualifications may be relaxed in the case of candidates who have
adequate previous experience as conductors of service bands and are capable of carrying out
duties of band Masters.
