Job Description
We are hiring active bank clerk, who can deal with customers for banking
transactions, managing accounts, processing deposits and withdrawals, and
providing customer service, while also maintaining accurate records and
ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:

Greet customers and address their queries regarding bank services, account balances, loans, deposits, and transactions.

Assist customers in opening or closing bank accounts, updating personal information, or issuing ATM cards and checkbooks.

Guide customers in filling out forms and applications accurately.
2. Cash Handling and Transactions:
-
Accept deposits and withdrawals from customers and update account balances.

Process cheques, money orders, demand drafts, and electronic fund transfers.
-
Handle cash transactions with high accuracy and ensure the correct posting of amounts.
3. Account Maintenance:

Maintain and update customer account records using banking software systems.

Monitor dormant accounts and ensure KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance is up to date.

Report suspicious activities or discrepancies in accounts as per bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
4. Clerical and Administrative Tasks:

Maintain physical and electronic filing systems for banking records and documents.

Print statements, letters, and notifications for customers.

Handle internal documentation such as loan applications, transaction reports, and daily balance sheets.
5. Data Entry and Record Keeping:

Enter customer information and transaction details into the bank’s core banking system.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by branch managers or compliance officers.

Ensure that all data is kept confidential and is entered accurately.
6. Communication and Coordination:

Liaise with other departments such as loans, treasury, or customer care for smooth processing of requests.

Forward unresolved customer queries to higher authorities or specialized staff.

Maintain internal communication logs and update team members about operational changes or customer issues.
7. Compliance and Security:
-
Follow all banking regulations and internal protocols regarding security, documentation, and cash handling.

Ensure that all work is done in compliance with local banking laws and the bank’s internal guidelines.

Immediately report security concerns, fraud attempts, or breaches in procedure.
