Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a strong love for coffee, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and other beverages, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and delivering excellent customer service to ensure a positive café experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coffee and Beverage Preparation:

Prepare a variety of coffee beverages such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, and mocha with precision and consistency.

Ensure that all beverages are crafted according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.

Learn and understand various types of coffee beans, blends, and brewing methods.

Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.

Prepare non-coffee beverages such as tea, smoothies, and juices as required by the menu.
2. Customer Service:

Greet customers with a friendly attitude and provide excellent customer service.

Take customer orders, offer suggestions, and answer questions regarding the menu.

Maintain positive customer relations and handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.

Create a welcoming atmosphere by keeping the counter and seating areas clean and organized.
3. Cleaning and Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards for the café area, including coffee machines, countertops, and storage areas.

Clean coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment regularly to ensure they are functioning properly.

Refill coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients, ensuring the café is stocked and ready for service.

Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure all health and safety standards are followed.
4. Inventory and Stock Management:

Monitor the stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients and notify the supervisor or manager when supplies are low.

Assist with stock rotation and ensure that all ingredients are stored according to health and safety regulations.
5. Cash Handling & Sales:

Take payment from customers using cash, card, or mobile payment systems.

Operate the cash register, process orders, and provide accurate change or receipts to customers.

Upsell and promote new products, seasonal specials, or menu upgrades to increase sales.
6. Team Collaboration:

Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy hours.

Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to meet customer needs and resolve any issues.

Assist in training new baristas or team members, sharing tips and best practices.
