Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coffee Preparation:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, and specialty drinks according to company recipes and standards.

Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment with proficiency.

Ensure the freshness and quality of coffee beans by monitoring storage and usage.

Customize drinks per customer preferences, including milk alternatives, syrups, and toppings.
2. Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and take beverage and food orders accurately.

Provide recommendations and answer customer questions about coffee types, brewing methods, and menu items.

Manage customer queries, complaints, or special requests with patience and professionalism.

Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to foster a welcoming café environment.
3. Cleanliness and Maintenance:

Clean and sanitize coffee machines, grinders, utensils, and workstations regularly.

Ensure café cleanliness, including seating areas, counters, and restrooms.

Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling, storage, and hygiene.

Perform daily opening and closing duties, such as restocking supplies and shutting down equipment properly.
4. Inventory and Stock Management:

Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other consumables.

Assist in placing orders for stock replenishment as required.

Ensure proper storage of supplies to prevent wastage or spoilage.
5. Cash Handling and Sales:
-
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer payments accurately.

Handle cash transactions, credit/debit card payments, and issue receipts.

Maintain accurate sales records and report daily takings to the manager.
6. Team Collaboration and Training:
-
Work cooperatively with other café staff to ensure smooth operations.

Support new team members by sharing knowledge about coffee preparation and customer service.

Attend regular training sessions to update skills and product knowledge.
