Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Biometric Installation Technician to install, configure, and maintain biometric attendance systems, access control devices, and security systems at client locations. The ideal candidate should have basic technical knowledge of hardware and software setup and be comfortable working on-site.
- Set up and configure biometric systems like fingerprint scanners, facial recognition software, and retinal scanners
- Install biometric devices and accessories
- Ensure the device is plugged in correctly
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of biometric hardware and software
- Maintain records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations regarding biometric data
- Ensure the system is used appropriately
- Establish transparent complaints and enquiry systems
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Setup
- Install biometric attendance systems, fingerprint scanners, face recognition devices, and access control systems.
- Configure software & hardware for proper functioning.
- Ensure secure and accurate wiring connections.
2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.
- Provide regular maintenance and servicing of biometric devices.
- Update firmware and troubleshoot connectivity problems.
3. Client Support & Training
- Train clients on how to use biometric systems efficiently.
- Assist customers with device registration and data synchronization.
- Address customer complaints and provide technical support.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of installations, service requests, and troubleshooting activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
- Coordinate with the technical support team for escalated issues.
