Position Overview
The Blasting Foreman is responsible for managing blasting operations on-site, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. They lead the blasting team, manage explosives, and oversee equipment to ensure efficient and effective blasting execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Blasting Operations: Plan and execute blast schedules, design blast patterns, and oversee detonations.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, conduct safety briefings, and manage explosives handling and storage.
• Leadership: Supervise and train blasting crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Equipment & Materials: Manage blasting equipment, maintain inventories, and conduct regular equipment inspections.
• Documentation: Report blasting outcomes, document incidents, and ensure proper record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Experience in blasting operations, preferably in construction, mining, or quarrying.
• Certified Blaster’s License or equivalent.
• Diploma in Mining or related field.
• Knowledge of blast design, explosives, and safety protocols.

Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

• Outdoor, physically demanding, with exposure to noise, vibrations, and dust.
