Bookkeeper work closely with a team of accountants to collect and analyse financial reports of the company.
Here are the key responsibilities of a bookkeeper:
Record financial transactions. Bookkeepers record all financial transactions of a business including its expenses, sales and all cash flow.
Manage bank feeds, They ensure the information in financial records matches with the bank and income statements of a business.
Manage payroll. Bookkeepers are also responsible for payroll management as they oversee the tax and other deductions of employee salaries.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable. They often monitor and handle accounts receivable and accounts payable of a business.
Prepare financial reports and statements. Bookkeepers prepare financial statements and reports for different accounting periods.
Assist with tax filing. They may assist accountants in the preparation and filing of taxes of the company.
Organise accounting tasks. They organise and streamline accounting tasks through various software and tools.
