Job Description
Job Summary
The BPO Telecaller will be responsible for handling inbound or outbound calls for various customer support or sales campaigns. This includes addressing customer queries, explaining product details, following up on leads, collecting feedback, or assisting with service-related concerns depending on the process.
The role demands strong communication skills, patience, the ability to follow scripts and processes, and a customer-first attitude. Telecallers may work on voice (calling), non-voice (chat/email), or blended (voice + non-voice) processes depending on the requirement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound/Inbound Calling

Make outbound calls to customers to promote products, collect feedback, conduct surveys, or provide service-related information.

Attend inbound calls from existing or potential customers and assist with their queries, complaints, or service requests.
2. Customer Handling
-
Understand customer concerns and provide appropriate information or solutions.

Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful tone throughout the conversation.

Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team or supervisor for resolution.
3. Data Entry & CRM Updates

Accurately record call details, customer information, and feedback in the CRM or call management system.

Update call logs, follow-up actions, and customer status regularly.
4. Script & Process Adherence

Follow call scripts and process guidelines as provided by the team leader or client.

Maintain consistency in the quality and tone of communication.

Achieve quality benchmarks as set by the QA or operations team.
5. Sales & Lead Generation (If Applicable)

Explain product features, offers, or services to prospective customers.

Convert cold leads into warm prospects or close direct sales over the phone.

Meet daily, weekly, or monthly targets as per campaign requirements.
Required Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills in Hindi and English (regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, or Gujarati are a plus depending on the project).

Active listening and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle rejection and stay positive under pressure.

Basic computer knowledge (email, CRM entry, typing).

Multitasking and time-management skills.

Confidence and a proactive attitude towards meeting targets and handling complaints.
