Job Description
Job Summary:
A BPO/Telecaller is responsible for handling incoming or outgoing customer calls, offering support, resolving issues, promoting products or services, and ensuring client satisfaction. Working in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment, the Telecaller communicates with clients or customers over the phone, email, or chat, depending on the process type.
This role may include both inbound (customer service or support) and outbound (sales or collections) processes. A Telecaller is expected to follow communication scripts, maintain professionalism, update databases, and achieve performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inbound Calling (Customer Support):

Answer incoming calls from customers or clients regarding products, services, orders, billing, or technical issues.

Provide accurate and timely information, assistance, or resolution.

Log every interaction into the CRM or ticketing system.

Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.
2. Outbound Calling (Sales, Surveys, Collections):

Call potential or existing customers to inform them about new products, promotions, or services.

Generate leads, book appointments, or conduct surveys.

Persuade customers to buy products or services using sales skills.

Follow up with customers who expressed interest or require further engagement.

Collect outstanding dues in collection processes, maintaining professionalism and empathy.
3. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by delivering excellent service.

Understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.

Handle irate or difficult customers with patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
4. Data Entry & Record Keeping:

Accurately update customer records, call logs, outcomes, and comments in internal systems.

Maintain confidentiality and integrity of customer data as per company policy and data protection regulations.
5. Adherence to Process Guidelines:

Follow the call script and company SOPs for communication and interaction.

Meet assigned KPIs such as call handling time, customer satisfaction, quality assurance scores, or conversion rates.

Participate in training programs to stay updated with process changes, product knowledge, and quality standards.
