Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead and manage one of our key branches in the chit fund division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving chit sales, overseeing day-to-day branch operations, ensuring timely collections, maintaining regulatory and internal compliance, and delivering exceptional client service.
This position also involves staff management, business development, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all administrative and financial activities. The Branch Manager is expected to be a strong leader who upholds the company's values and integrity while achieving operational and sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Branch Operations Management

Oversee and manage all branch-level activities including customer onboarding, documentation, chit auctions, disbursals, and collections.

Monitor daily functioning of the branch ensuring all processes align with company standards and regulatory norms.

Ensure accurate record-keeping, safe handling of cash and documents, and timely reporting to head office.
2. Chit Sales & Business Development

Drive chit fund sales through direct marketing, field visits, customer referrals, and local promotions.

Set sales targets for the branch and implement strategies to achieve them consistently.

Identify potential clients (individuals and businesses) and convert leads into active subscribers.

Organize marketing activities, client meets, and promotional events within the branch locality.
3. Collections & Client Servicing

Ensure timely collection of monthly installments and dues from all subscribers.

Handle escalations or delays in payments with diplomacy and effectiveness.

Build strong relationships with clients to improve retention, referrals, and customer satisfaction.

Oversee chit auctions and ensure fair, transparent conduct in accordance with company guidelines.
4. Team Leadership & Staff Supervision

Lead, train, and motivate branch staff (sales executives, collection agents, office assistants) for optimal performance.

Monitor team targets and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.

Maintain staff discipline, attendance, and work ethics within the branch.

Facilitate staff development through skill-building and on-the-job training.
5. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure that all branch operations comply with chit fund regulations, RBI norms, and internal audit requirements.

Oversee timely renewal of licenses, submission of reports, and regulatory filings.

Implement checks to minimize fraud, misreporting, or mismanagement of funds.

Ensure KYC, documentation, and chit registration processes are followed strictly.
6. Financial & Administrative Oversight

Monitor branch cash flow, petty cash usage, and ensure proper reconciliation and banking practices.

Authorize withdrawals, disbursals, and chit prize payments as per policy.

Maintain proper documentation of chit receipts, ledgers, auction records, and member communications.

Coordinate with auditors, legal advisors, and head office during inspections or reviews.
Required Qualifications

Education:

Graduate in any discipline (Commerce, Finance, or Management preferred).

MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum years of experience in financial services, chit fund, NBFC, microfinance, or cooperative banking.

Prior experience in handling branch operations, collections, or chit schemes is highly desirable.

Leadership or supervisory experience is required.
