Job Summary
The Field Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of Kohler products/equipment at customer locations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and customer service capabilities to ensure high-quality field support and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair Kohler systems/equipment at customer sites.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and technical faults and provide effective solutions.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Respond to customer service requests and breakdown calls within assigned timelines.
Maintain service records, inspection reports, and job documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams for spare parts, technical support, and escalations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during field operations.
Conduct product testing and operational checks after repairs/installations.
Educate customers on proper usage and maintenance of products.
Travel to customer locations as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/ITI/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field.
1–4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support.
Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and equipment servicing.
Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.
Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Skills
Experience in industrial equipment, plumbing products, generators, or automation systems.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
Familiarity with safety standards and field service protocols.
