The eCommerce Business Analyst position in ConvertCart involves improving the conversion rate of eCommerce clients worldwide. An Analyst will handle 10 to 15 or more customers.
In recent times, Indian tech companies are facing a challenge. Most of them work in a cost arbitrage model where they charge hourly rates for Indian engineer’s time. Most engineers end up doing very routine work which the western clients do not want to do. The growth rate of such companies have come down and there is constant downsizing. These jobs are also in serious danger due to the rapid advancement in technologies like Machine Learning and AI.
Unlike traditional IT services companies, ConvertCart is a software product company building innovative SaaS (Software as a Service) products for Ecommerce Conversion rate optimization. ConvertCart employees state of the art Cloud technologies, Machine Learning and Data Analytics in their products. As an innovative SaaS product company, ConvertCart is in a rapidly growing field in India. While traditional IT services companies are growing at a low growth rate of 5-6% Year on Year, in the SaaS space the growth rate is typically a mind-blowing 100%+. Convert cart’s revenue grew by 250% over last year. It expects a 400% growth over the next year. It is located in HSR Layout in Bangalore – the startup hub of Bangalore.
Job Responsibility
- Work closely with the Client Success Manager to understand the requirements set by the client and timeline that was communicated to the client in terms of achieving those requirements.
- Gather data from multiple resources on user behaviour.
- Undertaking heuristic website evaluations based on Industry best practices
- Demonstrate the ability to perform quantitative analysis and reasoning.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for website improvements.
- Offer solution for the problems identified and write a hypothesis
- Crafting hypothesis for A/B testing and website improvement recommendations based on qualitative insights and quantitative data.
- Work closely with designers, copywriter, developer, and tester to manage and implement campaign launches
- Prepare 30-60-90 predictions or road map and strategies on achieving 10-15% additional conversion gain every quarter.
- Utilize segmentation techniques to analyze customer behaviour, trends and profile attributes in order to identify opportunity segments for specific business units and targets
- Monitor user engagement levels with the campaign in the AB test and take the decision to succeed or fail the campaign
- Perform root cause analysis for failed campaigns.
Job Requirements:
- MBA or 1-2 years of experience in category or e-commerce management is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent in logical reasoning and highly data-driven.
- Basic understanding of marketing and sales mechanism of major e-commerce companies.
- Understanding of e-commerce business, Strategic Marketing & Online Marketing / Campaign Management is strongly desired.
- Digital marketing experience that demonstrates your in-depth understanding of Online Brand Development, Data Analytics, Campaign Management, and customer and email acquisition will be added benefit.
- Strong structural work methods, multitasking and time management skills.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce business, ability to have deep conversion revenue optimization discussion with customers.
Skillset:
English proficiency; MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency; knowledgeable in Google Analytics (Preferred); High problem-solving skills and creative thinking
