Job Description
Job Summary:
A Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities into long-term revenue for the company. This role includes lead generation, client interaction, relationship building, proposal development, and assisting in closing sales. BDAs work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align business strategies and customer needs.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, target-oriented, and possess strong communication and research skills. A BDA acts as the bridge between a company and its prospective clients, playing a crucial role in revenue generation and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify potential clients through research, cold calling, online tools (LinkedIn, databases, websites), and networking.

Generate high-quality leads through digital outreach, inbound queries, or industry events.

Qualify leads based on interest, budget, need, and decision-making authority.
2. Client Outreach & Communication

Reach out to prospects via calls, emails, messages, or meetings to introduce the company’s products or services.

Present company offerings in a professional and persuasive manner.

Follow up consistently to nurture leads through the sales funnel.
3. Sales Support & Coordination

Schedule demos, presentations, or meetings with prospects in coordination with the sales or senior BD team.

Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, presentations, and contracts.

Maintain communication with potential clients until handoff to account executives or closers.
4. Market Research & Intelligence

Research market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Stay updated on customer behavior, product preferences, and decision-making processes.

Analyze data to recommend new markets, sectors, or client segments.
5. CRM & Data Management

Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions, lead progress, and follow-up actions in CRM software.

Track key performance indicators such as calls made, emails sent, leads generated, and deals progressed.

Regularly update sales pipeline and status reports for review by senior management.
6. Relationship Building

Build and maintain positive relationships with leads and prospects to increase conversion potential.

Ensure a smooth transition from business development to account management or customer onboarding teams.
7. Feedback & Collaboration

Gather and share customer feedback with internal product and marketing teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve messaging, sales strategies, and service offerings.

Participate in brainstorming sessions, campaign planning, and strategy meetings.
