The Business Development Manager will be responsible for prospecting selling partners for schoolsaamaan.com, by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from them. He / She must then be able to create persuasive pitch and convince them to sell their products on the online platform. He/She should be able to develop trust and relationship with the selling partners and support them during the course of the business. He / She will also be responsible to growing business with existing selling partners.
New Business Development
  • Scan the market for the prospective selling partners in respective city/territory. Cold call as appropriate and build the robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Plan a pitch and explain business model. Understand the selling partners objectives and concerns.
  • Handle objections by clarifying doubts and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade and negotiate appropriately.
  • Hand-hold selling partners during the deal closure and onboard them to make them operational
Client Retention
  • Engage with the selling partners to identify new selling partners by way of references. Explore other opportunities for growth by constant interaction.
  • Work with internal teams to handle challenges faced by selling partners
Business Development Planning
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Education
  • A bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of sales or marketing experience preferably in the apparel industry. Freshers with sales acumen may also apply
Other Skills and Qualifications
  • Fluency in English, preference will be given to candidate with fluency in local language of the region for which they are applying to`
  • Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Public Speaking
