Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Achieves sales growth and penetration within
an assigned territory and market segment by effectively promoting the company’s
products and related services. Personally contacts and secures new customers.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and promote sales of books etc. by visiting schools and
maintains the business relationship with current customers in the
assigned territory to generate
new business for the company's products.
- Promotes and secures orders from existing and prospective customers
through a relationship-based approach.
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return
on Time Investment for the territory.
- Effectively communicates the ground reality of the given channel/territory
to reporting manager and formulates day to day strategy
DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
- Establishes develops and maintains
business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the
assigned territory to generate new business for the organization’s services.
- Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing
and prospective customers.
- Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for
information to determine their potential.
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Identifies advantages and compares organization’s services.
- Participates in trade shows and conventions.
