Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, primarily within B2B markets. This role requires a strong understanding of sales strategy, excellent negotiation skills, and a high level of technical and digital fluency.

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in B2B sales, be comfortable with database and spreadsheet tools, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. While digital marketing experience is not mandatory, familiarity with digital outreach strategies and tools will be considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outbound outreach.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients across relevant sectors.

  • Use tools such as LinkedIn, CRM software, and online databases to source and qualify leads.

2. Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Drive B2B sales initiatives to meet or exceed assigned targets.

  • Conduct client presentations and product/service demonstrations to showcase value propositions.

  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and other deal elements with clients to close sales.

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and business partners.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and consistent service delivery.

4. Strategic Planning

  • Assist in developing sales strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis, and client feedback.

  • Participate in planning and execution of marketing campaigns and business development initiatives.

  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform product development and business strategy.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and outcomes using CRM software.

  • Analyze sales data, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and present performance updates to management.

  • Use spreadsheets and charts to track pipeline progress, sales metrics, and forecasting.

6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align strategies and deliver comprehensive client solutions.

  • Support in the preparation of sales materials, proposals, and pitch decks as needed.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and best practices.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

1. Sales & Negotiation

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in a technical or service-based industry.

  • Experience handling long sales cycles and managing complex deals with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to navigate objections confidently.

2. Technical Acumen

  • High level of comfort with technical products or services and the ability to articulate them clearly to clients.

  • Ability to quickly grasp product features, integration requirements, and the client’s technical environment.

3. Computer Literacy

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and similar tools.

  • Comfortable working with databases, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and other sales tools.

  • Ability to create and interpret charts, graphs, and sales reports to support data-driven decision-making.

4. Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a persuasive and professional presentation style.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport quickly and influence decision-makers.

5. Digital Marketing Knowledge (Desirable but Not Mandatory)

  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels such as email marketing, paid advertising, and social media outreach.

  • Understanding of SEO, PPC, content marketing, and analytics tools is a plus.
