Job Description

A Business Development Executive (BDE) is a professional responsible for driving a company's growth by identifying business opportunities, building relationships, and converting leads into clients or customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify and research potential clients and business opportunities using various sources (internet, networking, events, referrals, CRM tools).

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Initiate contact with potential customers through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication platforms.

2. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients.

  • Understand client needs, present tailored solutions, and articulate the company’s value proposition clearly.

  • Conduct meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations to potential clients (both virtually and in person).

3. Sales and Negotiation:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.

  • Negotiate terms of agreements and close deals that are beneficial for both the client and the company.

  • Follow up on proposals and maintain regular communication throughout the sales cycle.

4. Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.

  • Gather and analyze data to identify new markets, emerging needs, and opportunities for innovation.

  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to internal teams to improve products or services.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, sales activities, and outcomes in the CRM system.

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates for senior management.

  • Track performance against KPIs and take corrective actions when necessary.

6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align business development efforts with organizational goals.

  • Support marketing campaigns and attend promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions as required.

  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in sales processes and customer engagement.
