Job Summary

A Business Development Executive is responsible for driving the growth of a company by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and developing strategies to increase sales and revenue. The role involves market research, lead generation, client meetings, proposal preparation, and closing deals. BDEs act as a bridge between the company and potential customers, ensuring that products or services meet client needs while contributing to the organization’s long-term success.

This is a target-driven position requiring a mix of sales expertise, communication skills, strategic thinking, and persistence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Research & Analysis

    • Identify potential business opportunities by studying industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

    • Gather and analyze data on customer preferences, buying behavior, and unmet needs.

    • Use research insights to recommend strategies for product positioning and market penetration.

  2. Lead Generation & Prospecting

    • Source new sales opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and social media outreach.

    • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with a balance of short-term and long-term prospects.

    • Qualify leads by understanding their needs, budgets, and timelines.

  3. Client Relationship Management

    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and prospects.

    • Schedule and attend client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.

    • Ensure prompt follow-ups and provide regular updates to clients to maintain engagement.

  4. Sales & Negotiation

    • Present products or services effectively to meet customer needs.

    • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and agreements.

    • Negotiate terms and close deals while ensuring profitability for the company.

  5. Collaboration with Internal Teams

    • Work closely with the marketing team to design campaigns that generate quality leads.

    • Coordinate with product, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution.

    • Share customer feedback with relevant departments to improve offerings.

  6. Reporting & Documentation

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM tools.

    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports for management review.

    • Track and report progress against sales targets and KPIs.

  • CRM Proficiency: Ability to use Customer Relationship Management software for lead tracking and client communication.
