Job Description
- Identify potential customers: Use referrals, networking, and cold calling to find new customers
- Understand customer needs: Listen to customers to understand their logistics and Shipping related problems and challenges.
- Present products: Demonstrate services and explain how we can help and add value by increasing efficiencies and improve cost effectiveness in their logistics and supply chain
- Negotiate: Negotiate prices and terms with customers
- Close sales: Overcome objections and secure customer commitment for a long-term association.
- Follow up: Follow up with customers to maintain continuity and ensure satisfaction and address issues if any.
- Prepare reports: Track sales activities and customer interactions, and prepare reports for management
- Collaborate: Work with other departments
to ensure a seamless sales process.
This position will be responsible to increase Revenue and
Profitability through the acquisition of new accounts and selling additional
services to an existing customer base.
Should be a Self-starter with leadership qualities and comfortable being part
of a smaller team, enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of the company
and most important compliance of company procedures and policies.
Background in logistics sales and a proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience in sales or business development within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a target-driven approach and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for client meetings and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the complete contract logistics sales activities including adding new client in to warehousing business, distribution, and last-mile delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations (MBA preferred).
1–3 years of experience in logistics & warehousing,
Sound understanding of cost control, budgeting, manpower planning, and commercial terms.
Preferred Industry Background:
3PL Logistics
Immediate Joiner will be Preferred
Growing 3 PL services provider in logistics (Transportation and warehousing) Located in Pune Maharashtra.
