Job Description

Job Summary:

A Business Development Executive (BDE) plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of an organization by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and supporting sales strategies. The BDE is responsible for generating leads, pitching products or services, closing sales, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role is vital for expanding the company’s market presence, increasing revenue, and contributing to long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, digital outreach, and referrals.

  • Generate leads through multiple channels including social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), B2B portals, and industry events.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients aligned with company goals and target markets.

  • Qualify leads to determine their interest, budget, decision-making process, and timeline.

2. Client Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Reach out to potential clients via phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, and face-to-face interactions when required.

  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions based on company products or services.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

  • Maintain regular follow-ups and engage in meaningful conversations to nurture prospects through the sales funnel.

3. Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to prospective customers.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to close sales effectively.

  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets as assigned by the organization.

4. Market Research and Competitive Analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor strategies.

  • Analyze customer feedback and market insights to adapt sales strategies and improve product offerings.

  • Identify opportunities for product or service enhancement based on client needs and market gaps.

  • Track emerging sectors or regions for potential business expansion.

5. Coordination and Teamwork

  • Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns and generate high-quality leads.

  • Coordinate with product, operations, and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution post-sales.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales processes, proposals, contracts, and agreements.

  • Participate in team meetings to share insights, discuss targets, and align with organizational goals.

6. CRM and Reporting

  • Update and manage lead and client data using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot).

  • Track and report on weekly/monthly sales performance, lead conversion rates, and client feedback.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review.

  • Use data insights to improve conversion strategies and client engagement.
