Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Business Development Manager to recruit and lead a team of Financial Advisors. The primary responsibilities of this role include recruiting new advisors, providing them with the necessary training and product knowledge, and developing and executing effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
In addition, the Business Development Manager will be expected to maintain ongoing relationships with the team of financial advisors and ensure they are motivated, knowledgeable, and equipped to close leads effectively. This is a leadership position that requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong background in sales management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment of Financial Advisors:

Recruitment & Team Building: Actively recruit qualified and motivated individuals to join the team of financial advisors.

Interview & Selection: Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and select individuals who align with the organization’s goals and values.

Induction & Onboarding: Ensure that new advisors are properly onboarded, equipped with resources, and introduced to company policies and products.
2. Product Knowledge & Training:

Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training to financial advisors on product offerings, market trends, and industry knowledge.

Regular Knowledge Updates: Conduct periodic training sessions to keep the team updated on new products, policies, and industry changes.

Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to new advisors, ensuring they fully understand the product and are confident in delivering sales pitches.
3. Sales Strategy Development & Execution:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals, increase market penetration, and maximize revenue generation.

Team Sales Goals: Set individual and team targets for financial advisors and monitor progress toward achieving these goals.

Sales Coaching: Provide ongoing support, coaching, and performance feedback to advisors to ensure they meet their targets.

Market Research: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and potential growth opportunities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
4. Relationship Management:

Team Relationship Building: Maintain strong, professional relationships with the team of financial advisors to keep them motivated, engaged, and aligned with company goals.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Customer Retention: Ensure that the advisors are not only closing new sales but also focusing on maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients.
5. Lead Conversion & Closing:

Lead Support: Assist in converting difficult or high-value leads, especially when advisors need additional support to close sales.

Monitor Performance: Track the progress of leads through the sales pipeline, ensuring the team effectively closes leads and converts them into customers.

Sales Metrics: Analyze lead conversion metrics and collaborate with the team to optimize the sales process and increase closure rates.
6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

Performance Reports: Regularly report on the progress of the team’s sales activities, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.

Sales Forecasting: Provide forecasts and track sales goals to ensure targets are being met consistently.

Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Analyze the performance of the financial advisors, identifying areas of improvement and creating action plans for better results.
