Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Responding to incoming email and phone inquiries
2. Identifying buyer persona profiles
3. Investigating leads and finding out about them as much as possible before contacting
4. Understanding all the prospect needs, problems, or wants
5. Explaining how our solutions align with their pain points
6. Meeting with potential clients and acting as their consultant
7. Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer
8. Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations
9. Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
10. Challenging any objections to get the customer to buy
11. Up-selling when appropriate
12. Recording sales and order information, or entering figures into a computer system
13. Consulting marketing team to ensure the efficiency
14. Preparing and presenting reports when needed
15. Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations
17. Feeding future buying trends back to employers
18. Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
