Job Description
Position Summary
The Business Analyst will serve as a bridge between business objectives and technical solutions. They will be responsible for identifying business needs, conducting research and data analysis, defining requirements, and helping design processes or systems that enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
This role requires excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should have a passion for data, experience working with multiple departments, and the ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Collaborate with business stakeholders, department heads, and users to gather and document business requirements.

Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable functional and non-functional requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support business strategy.

Create visual reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and help monitor business performance against goals.
Process Improvement & Documentation

Map current ("as-is") business processes and design future-state ("to-be") processes using flowcharts and process models.

Recommend improvements to reduce cost, increase efficiency, or improve customer satisfaction.

Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and business cases for proposed changes.
Project & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with project managers, developers, QA testers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate translation of business needs into system functionality.

Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity.

Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that delivered solutions meet the agreed requirements.
Product Development & Support

Assist product teams in defining features and user stories for agile development.

Maintain product backlogs and help prioritize feature development based on business value.

Support the launch and post-deployment review of new products, tools, or systems.
Technology & Tools
-
Collaborate with IT to understand the technical implications of proposed changes and ensure system compatibility.

Work with database systems and query tools (e.g., SQL) to extract and analyze data.

Contribute to digital transformation and system integration projects.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).

Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Asana.

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and business process modeling.
