Picking up customers at requested times and locations
Picking up customers trying to hail a ride when no one is in the cab
Responding to dispatchers’ requests for cabs
Driving customers to their destinations via the shortest/quickest route
Adjusting routes for daily traffic patterns, ongoing construction, and known accidents
Operating the cab meter for each ride and collecting payment
Assisting customers with their bags and luggage
Determining customer interest in conversation and engaging them appropriately
Keeping the cab’s exterior and interior clean and presentable
Refilling the fuel tank and having the cab serviced when necessary
Reporting any accidents or other incidents according to company protocol
Maintaining accurate driving logs
