Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cable Installation:
-
Install and connect various types of cable systems, including TV, internet, and telephone cables, for residential and commercial customers.

Set up and test cables, connectors, and equipment for proper functionality.

Ensure that installations are done efficiently, following safety guidelines and company procedures.
2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with cable systems, including poor signal, network disruptions, or malfunctioning equipment.

Repair or replace defective cables, connectors, and hardware as needed.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the system continues to function optimally.
3. Customer Service & Support:

Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, explaining the setup process, and offering technical support during and after installation.

Communicate with customers about system features, usage, and possible upgrades.

Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with clients on-site.
4. Documentation & Reporting:

Complete accurate service reports, noting installation details, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

Maintain a log of customer requests, service calls, and any follow-up required.

Document any changes or upgrades made to the cable system for future reference.
5. Equipment & Tool Management:

Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure proper installation and repair procedures.

Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any defective tools to the supervisor.
6. Safety & Compliance:
-
Adhere to all safety regulations and policies to ensure a safe working environment, both on-site and while handling equipment.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to cable installation and customer service.

Follow the company's guidelines for proper cable routing, grounding, and other technical specifications.
